Terrible communication. I scheduled two showings at a property to get there both times and no one to reply to send me the code to get it.

My husband and I are moving to Tampa from out of state, and Nina was so wonderful in the process of finding our home to rent. She answered all of our questions, followed up with us and was so kind and helpful throughout one of the most stressful moves we have ever done. Their rental process is so smooth and professional, and you know you will be taken care of as a renter. For out of town movers - recommend perhaps the lead meet the family at the home to do a walk through upon arrival? It was difficult navigating downtown Tampa, then back to Brandon to figure everything out - we are still figuring things out.

UPDATE: Haven't had water all day due to the property owner not paying the water bill (his responsibility, per lease). A notice from the City of Tampa was hanging on the door. I've contacted Hoffman multiple times today and have not heard one word back from the office (I imagine it's in retaliation for this 1-star review, as all repairs and communication have taken even longer since I shared it). Absolutely ridiculous to be dealing with this as a tenant. At least this situation is covered under Florida statutes. *** Repeated incidents of subpar maintenance that take far too long to address. To be clear, this was a pattern of behavior long before the recent hurricanes and is due, in part, to vendor performance but also results from Hoffman policy. As a renter, I'm not used to having to "prove" that something is broken before issues are addressed. I'm also taken aback that I've been asked to attempt to repair an issue myself, before the issue would be addressed. The point of renting, especially of renting a home with a higher price point, is that issues of maintenance are readily handled. This makes it easier for the renter and, of course, maintains the beauty and rentability of the home for the property owner.
