Terrible communication. I scheduled two showings at a property to get there both times and no one to reply to send me the code to get it.

My husband and I are moving to Tampa from out of state, and Nina was so wonderful in the process of finding our home to rent. She answered all of our questions, followed up with us and was so kind and helpful throughout one of the most stressful moves we have ever done. Their rental process is so smooth and professional, and you know you will be taken care of as a renter. Overall, wonderful experience and would highly recommend them in your search for a rental home.

For out of town movers - recommend perhaps the lead meet the family at the home to do a walk through upon arrival? It was difficult navigating downtown Tampa, then back to Brandon to figure everything out - we are still figuring things out.

UPDATE: Haven't had water all day due to the property owner not paying the water bill (his responsibility, per lease). A notice from the City of Tampa was hanging on the door. I've contacted Hoffman multiple times today and have not heard one word back from the office (I imagine it's in retaliation for this 1-star review, as all repairs and communication have taken even longer since I shared it). Absolutely ridiculous to be dealing with this as a tenant. At least this situation is covered under Florida statutes. *** Repeated incidents of subpar maintenance that take far too long to address. To be clear, this was a pattern of behavior long before the recent hurricanes and is due, in part, to vendor performance but also results from Hoffman policy. As a renter, I'm not used to having to "prove" that something is broken before issues are addressed. I'm also taken aback that I've been asked to attempt to repair an issue myself, before the issue would be addressed. The point of renting, especially of renting a home with a higher price point, is that issues of maintenance are readily handled. This makes it easier for the renter and, of course, maintains the beauty and rentability of the home for the property owner.

Extremely rude communication from Hoffman Realty. I only asked to tour a property, not even apply, and after answering their questions, they denied me based on credit scores — fine. But then the agent sent a condescending follow-up, repeating unnecessary info and suggesting I look elsewhere. Unprofessional and dismissive. Look elsewhere if you expect basic respect !

The best property manager that I've worked with from a renter's perspective. Professional, respectful, easy to work with, and fair to all sides. I worked with MaryAnn and Jeanette primarily, who were both excellent. Rent payments and service orders are all done through easy to use web portals. Service orders for repairs and such were acted upon almost immediately and done highly efficiently. Move-out process was very transparent and fair, as well, which I was pleased with. If I could work with Hoffman again, I definitely would.

We have had a few utility issues at our house and Hoffman realty has been excellent. Jarred did a great job answering our questions in a timely manner and facilitating maintenance.

May 2025 Update - MaryAnn Hoffman and team did it again! She successfully handled the sale of one of my parent's rental homes. She made the process seamless and painless as we received multiple offers in a matter of days. I can't recommend MaryAnn Hoffman and her team enough! It was a pleasure working with you over the years! April 2024: MaryAnn Hoffman and the team have been an absolute pleasure to work with. My dad had been working with the Hoffman team for well over a decade. They make owning property seamless as they manage any tenant issues expeditiously. We recently sold one of the homes in Florida and MaryAnn sold the property in record time! Selling the home with the Hoffman Realty team was a pleasure if you can say that when you're dealing with the sale of a rental home. Hi. I have been renting my house since December 2024. The company Hoffman Realtor is an amazing company. When I have any issues of maintenance I summit them to the sy. Sometimes I have to call to the office and Jeanette in the office always helps me. I am really happy, my house is running very good so far..I recommend.

This is a terrible company to rent from. It will take them months to make repairs and once they finally do, they will never be done properly. The house we rented was moldy and the air conditioner broke every couple of months. My entire family was sick on and off from the day we moved into one of their houses. Be extremely cautious!

Very predatory agency and extremely rude agents. I’ve literally never had a problem with anyone else this is the only group that’s been like this.
